Lensey Namioka

Lensey Namioka was born in 1929 in Bejing before moving to Cambridge, Massachusetts. The subject of her works has been described as centering around "outsiders" and characters who must adjust to new places and people. Despite being an author, she attended the University of California for math, which was also where she met her husband, Isaac Namioka, with whom she would go on to raise daughters Aki and Michi.
