A Note of Tribute<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Fred Schwengel’s belief in the importance of a\u00a0<\/span>comprehensive liberal education<\/span>\u00a0was demonstrated from an early age as he left home to work his way through high school. Influenced by individuals such as former\u00a0<\/span>President Harry S Truman<\/span>\u00a0and poet\u00a0<\/span>Carl Sandburg<\/span>, Schwengel was inspired to not only\u00a0<\/span>serve<\/span>\u00a0as an educator in the fields of history and political science,\u00a0but also to lead an active political life filled with service to his fellow man.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
