The Furniture

Chairs

The Pickler Furniture Collection features two sets of chairs. The first is a set of fauteuils (or armchairs), also known as king and queen chairs. The other is a set of parlor chairs. All four are attributed to designer John Henry Belter, and are made in the Rococo Revival Style.

The chairs are made with rosewood, and feature key Rococo Revival elements, such as the curved designs and carved floral ornaments.

The other piece in the Pickler Furniture Collection is a medallion-style settee, attributed to designer Joseph Meeks.

Similarly to the chairs, this Rococo Revival piece is made of rosewood, and has curved designs and carved floral ornaments.
