Kalasan

Originating from the Batak people of northern Sumatra. These blades are famous for a flat back of blade with an s shape on the blade side. The handle is also curved into an s shape to promote better grip.

While there isn’t ornamentation on this piece, the artistry comes from both the craftsmanship of the blade and the traditional manner in which it was crafted. The creator of this piece placed their seal upon it displaying pride in this piece.
