Gurkha Kukri

The Gurkha Kukri is an important piece of the Gurkha forces equipment. The Gurkha are an armed force of Nepalese originating people who have historically fought in many various conflicts.

The blade itself does have some ornamentation, but the symbol of this blade truly comes from who it represents instead of what it has on it. They are frequently made from railroad scrap metal and are famous for having notches at the base of the blade which have a nebulous purpose. They have primarily become a ceremonial piece, but they also serve as a strong close combat weapon.
