She has also authored plays, poems, stories and articles which appeared in numerous publications. Her books include:\u00a0Daughters of the Law,\u00a0Summer Begins, and\u00a0Just Like Jenny.<\/p>\n<p>* * * * * * * * * *<\/p>\n<p>Peter Cohen, who teaches creative writing at Kansas State University, has written nine children&#8217;s books, a play and filmscripts. His books have appeared on the Junior Literary Guild Selection and the Sequoyah Award lists. His works include\u00a0Foal Creek, Best Children&#8217;s Novel for 1972,\u00a0Bee, and Calm Horse, Wild Night.<\/p>\n<p>* * * * * * * * * *<\/p>\n<p>Robert C. Lee of Warsaw, Mo., has written seven children&#8217;s books. His career in education spans almost three decades; he has taught fourth through senior high students. He now directs elementary education in the Warsaw schools. Lee&#8217;s fictional works for children include the 1974 Mark Twain Award Winner,\u00a0It&#8217;s a Mile From Here to Glory, and\u00a0The Summer of the Green Star, a Junior Literary Guild Selection and candidate for the 1983-84 Mark Twain Award.<\/p>\n<p>* * * * * * * * * *<\/p>\n<p>David Melton of Prince Village, Ks., has authored factual prose, analytical essays, news reporting, magazine articles, and poetry and novels for both adults and children. He has also illustrated eight of his own books and three by other authors. He has participated in numerous workshops and seminars. She has conducted numerous workshops in public schools and universities in the Midwest. Her books have appeared on the Junior Literary Guild Selection list, Children&#8217;s Choice list, and the Kansas State Reading list. Her works include\u00a0The Barkley Street Six Pack,\u00a0Chester,\u00a0Eleanor, and\u00a0Happles and Cinnamunger, a candidate for the 1983-84 Mark Twain Award.<\/p>\n<p>* * * * * * * * * *<\/p>\n<p>Rhoda Wooldridge of Independence, Mo., has written several works of historical fiction with Missouri settings for children.
